How we plan your antifouling maintenance
We assess the hull material, existing coating, boat speed, frequency of use and local fouling conditions before selecting a suitable system. Product compatibility is particularly important for aluminium hulls and underwater metal fittings.
Surface preparation and application
After haul-out, we inspect the existing paint and hull condition. Salt, dirt and loose coatings are removed using appropriate methods. Areas with poor adhesion or damage may require further preparation, repairs or a compatible primer.
The selected antifouling is applied according to the manufacturer’s specified coverage, number of coats and environmental conditions. Recoating intervals, drying times and launching windows are taken from the product technical documentation.
Performance and renewal
Antifouling helps control marine growth; results vary with the product, water temperature, time spent moored and frequency of use. Renewal is planned according to hull condition, use and manufacturer recommendations rather than the calendar alone.
