Compounding, polishing and protection
Compounding aims to remove oxidation, light scratches and surface imperfections through controlled abrasion. Polishing reduces fine marks and improves gloss. A suitable wax or protective product then supports the finish.
Our application process
We inspect the coating, oxidation and scratches, then remove salt, dirt and grease. The compound and pad are chosen for the surface condition. Where appropriate, an expert assessment may identify the need for controlled sanding.
After compounding and polishing, a compatible protective product is applied. We can plan single-stage or multi-stage restoration for suitable hull and deck surfaces.
What results can you expect?
Treatment can improve appearance, recover gloss and reduce the visibility of light scratches. Protection lasts for different periods depending on the product, exposure and maintenance.
Deep scratches, gelcoat cracks, peeling paint and structural damage require appropriate repairs. Excessive abrasion can thin the surface coating, so its condition must be assessed first.
